Biz X Was There- Dreams Came True At 2020 In Honour Of The Ones We Love Charity Gala

Well it was another sold out event for the 2020 In Honour of the Ones We Love organization thanks to the loyalty of sponsors, families and friends for their 22nd annual “Dreams Do Come True” gala held on Saturday, February 1, 2020.

Guests were welcomed at the Ciociaro Club to celebrate the lives of Vito Badalamenti, Michele (Mike) Calamita, Giuseppe (Joe) Conciatori, Mary Kathryn “Mary-Kit” Hambleton, and John Reiner with the memorable candle lighting ceremony a special feature which reminds us of all our loved ones!

The evening began with hors d’oeuvres by Koolini and sparkling wine, courtesy of Pelee Island Winery. Next followed a seven course gourmet dinner; drinks at a Canadian Club martini bar and an espresso bar by Guarda Luna with gelato and cannoli by Sottozero. There was also a silent auction and special “Dreams Do Come True” draws!

This year, the “Hand in Hand” Award was presented to Andy Bukovac, Owner/Operator of McDonalds Restaurants in Windsor Essex — an In Honour of the Ones We Love friend and supporter who has contributed to their success!

The “Above and Beyond” Award was presented to two amazing ladies, Nancy Pizzo and Julie Dennis, also from McDonalds.

Under founder Anita Imperioli, In Honour is proud to fund diverse projects that are beneficial to patients with life-threatening illnesses, disabilities, mental health and their families.

It is with profound pride and gratitude we thank our community for allowing us to create a wealth of caring through In Honour of the Ones We Love,” expresses Imperioli.
