2017 Woofa-Roo Pet Fest
The 2017 Woofa-Roo Pet Fest is a fun filled festival for “Pets and Their People” featuring live presentations throughout the weekend.
Watch Dogs launch themselves off a 40 foot dock into a 28,000 gallon swimming pool at our premier event – Dock Diving. These are amazing K9 athletes converging on Amherstburg to compete in this crazy fun water sport! Charity Splashes are open to the public to try and it’s for a great cause as proceeds benefit our charities and rescues.
Lure Coursing, Disc Dog and Dog Races are all events that you can participate with your own dog! We have Pony Rides, Specialty Vendors, Contests, Woofa~Roo Gauntlet, Pet Friendly Food Courts and much more.
We are very excited to host the elite Windsor Police K9’s. This is a rare opportunity to watch these amazing officers practice their special skills. One day only – Sunday, August 13th at noon on our event field.
Swing by our adoption circle, located in front of the Libro Centre. These are animals in need of forever homes. Contribute to their cause and participate in our fantastic Silent Auction or one of the several charity contests.
Don’t forget to head indoors for dog agility and flyball! Meet and greet other pet owners in our “Pet Friendly” climate controlled gathering place. Do you have pet questions? We have answers! Swing by Woofa~Roo’s Pet-Ucation Center and talk to the professionals in the indoor soccer field. Don’t forget to check out our wildly popular children’s zone – Castle Lane! If feather’s are your thing – we have parrots and a wide selection of exotics. There’s something for everyone at Essex County’s only pet and family friendly festival!
