2018 Windsor Jeep Jam
Introducing TEAM JEEP!
Motorcycle enthusiasts paved the way in raising funds for much needed causes in Windsor by hosting poker runs in the area. The Windsor Jeep Club has layered on top of the great idea of a Poker Run event and added its own unique twist. All Jeep branded vehicles are encouraged to enter a team. The Jeep Jam event is celebrating 5 great years, and introducing “Team Jeep” this year, an added component to the run which will have Jeep drivers competing for points to win this year’s Team Jeep Challenge! The Windsor Jeep Club is looking forward to seeing returning friends as well as some new faces too!
The Poker Run participants will gather at Malden Park before setting off on a scenic ride throughout Essex County. The run will end up back at Malden Park where participants and their guests will be able to enjoy the facilities which include team challenges, the final card pull station and a BBQ.
The funds will stay locally in our community and are directed to Assisted Living Southwestern Ontario (A.L.S.O) Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) programs and services. Each year over 160,000 Canadians sustain a brain injury, and these incidences are rising according to the Brain Injury Association of Canada. The Windsor Jeep Club hopes to bring awareness to the cause and remind drivers to be cautious when driving. About 50% of all acquired brain injuries in Canada come from falls and motor vehicle accidents.
The event is sponsored by Provincial Chrysler, Velocity Injury Law, Biz X Magazine, CKLW AM800, In Play! Magazine and supported by many local businesses.
Cost: $25 in advance $30 at the door, passengers an additional $5
