LaSalle Strawberry Festival Hosts Talent Competition
The LaSalle Strawberry Festival has again partnered with the Rise 2 Fame Youth Talent Competition and will host a preliminary talent show competition. A Junior Talent Search, ages 6-12, and a Youth Talent Search, ages 13-21, will be held during the LaSalle Strawberry Festival on Sunday, June 9 at 11:00 am. The top three to five acts (depending on the number of performances) in each age group will advance to the finals held during the Western Fair in September.
Preliminary competitions for the Youth and Junior Talent Search are held in various locations in Ontario, and the LaSalle Strawberry Festival is the first location in 2019. The Rise 2 Fame Youth talent competition provides non-professional youth a chance to perform their art. All acts are accepted as long as it is safe, family-friendly and can be performed on a stage. The winners of the regional competitions move forward to the finals in September at the annual Western Fair for a chance to win up to $1,500.
Spots are limited, so contestants are encouraged to register well in advance.
