BBQ Fundraiser - Motor City Community Credit Union

Free BBQ to Celebrate Differences with Windsor Police Service and Partners will Connect Community Residents to Free Services to Thrive

The 2nd annual DiverCity Barbecue hosted by Windsor Police Services (WPS) will celebrate the ethnic and cultural diversity of the City of Windsor and more. While placing the needs of this community above its own, WPS is focused on its organizational goals to promote community trust, support, strive for equity, diversity, inclusion, and pursue community partnerships.

It is what Diversity Inclusion and Recruitment Outreach Officer Jamie Adjetey-Nelson says is reinforcing the good work that WPS does and plans to do ongoing.

“Collectively we are working together with professionalism, accountability, and integrity to ensure the safety of all the members of our diverse community. This BBQ will extend efforts to our community highlighting free programs and services that support those who want to take advantage of these opportunities.”

There will be entertainment, sports, casual conversation and 26 community organizations available to engage with residents. Plentiful Harvest will provide free produce, New Beginnings, UHU and Multicultural Council are also partners reaching out to invest in people.
