Sip & Savour Experience
From August 18-20th, 2017, the Municipality of Leamington will be hosting the 2nd annual Sip & Savour Experience. This exciting food and drink festival is a celebration of locally sourced food and beverages and highlights the unique culinary landscape on the 42nd parallel. This event is designed to bring chefs, farmers, vineyards, brew masters and local food producers together to create a uniquely local culinary experience.
The Sip & Savour Experience is not simply a food festival – it encompasses all aspects of Leamington’s food production, from the greenhouse growers, to local food-based charities, and, ultimately, to the consumer. It is designed to showcase Leamington to not only our community but to bring tourists into our region and showcase the diverse “Leamington Experience.”
Highlights of the weekend will include:
- Local food and drink vendors
- Appearance and presentation by a renowned celebrity chef, Chef Lynn Crawford
- A “County Fair” style recipe competition judged by Chef Lynn and local celebrities
- A ticketed Fish Fry (Friday) and VIP Signature Experience (Saturday)
- A culinary-themed Kids Day for the whole family
The Sip & Savour Experience will also feature performers – both cooking demonstrations and musical – as well as culinary related activities celebrating food and drink #onthe42. Lovers of food and wine, music, families young and old, will enjoy all this dynamic festival has to offer!
