This special afternoon recital celebrates the beauty\, depth\, and expressive richness of Chinese folk and traditional music through a vibrant live performance experience that brings centuries of musical heritage to life. \nFeaturing a wide range of performers and instruments\, the program includes guzheng\, erhu\, pipa\, hulusi\, piano\, percussion\, and a male voice quartet. Together\, these performers will present a program that reflects the elegance\, colour\, and emotional range of Chinese musical traditions\, from delicate lyrical passages to lively rhythmic energy. Audiences will have the opportunity to hear both instrumental and vocal works that showcase the distinctive sounds and textures of this rich cultural tradition. \nChinese folk and traditional music carries with it a deep sense of history\, storytelling\, and identity. Whether through the shimmering resonance of the guzheng\, the expressive voice-like quality of the erhu\, or the unique character of the hulusi and pipa\, each piece offers listeners a meaningful connection to the musical language of China. The addition of piano\, percussion\, and vocal ensemble further expands the palette of the concert\, creating an engaging and memorable program for seasoned concertgoers and first-time listeners alike. \nWindsor Multicultural Concerts is dedicated to creating opportunities for audiences in Windsor to experience the music of diverse cultures through live performance in an intimate setting. DESCRIPTION:Improv Rec League (IRL) Finals Night\nAre you ready for the Improv Rec League Season 3 Finals!?! \nAfter four-weeks of fun\, friendly\, intense\, and hilarious competition\, FIVE TEAMS of improvisors from Windsor’s Improv Recreation League (IRL) are ready for the final face-off! \nWill it be the skillful\, the hilarious\, or the downright out-of-this-world improvisers that take the championship? Only you can find out live and in person — ONE NIGHT ONLY! Join us to witness the hilarity and vote for your favourites! \nWHEN: Saturday\, 30 May 2026 @ 7:00 pm (doors open 6:30) \nWHERE: Glenwood United Church (1825 Grand Marais rd. W.\, Windsor\, ON) \nHOW MUCH: $20 via www.postproductionswindsor.ca or take your chances at the door (CASH ONLY) if seats are still available. \nIRL is unlike any other improvisation performance in our region. Based on the French model of competitive improv\, teams of four-to-five improvisors go head-to-head creating characters\, stories\, and scenes based on specific criteria given to them by the referees. Scenes can by anywhere from 30 secs to 3 minutes\, and when each scene is over the audience votes for which team should get the point in that round. This season five teams have been competing each week in May at The Shadowbox Theatre to prepare for the Grand Finale on May 30th at Glenwood Church.
