The only Windsor-essex book launch date for Tales of The Screaming Tunnel: Niagara Falls, Ontario. Meet the author and TV Show director of the Bell Fibe TV1 series, “Tales of Texas Road”, K.G. Miceli, and talk about all things strange and spooky!

Share your own personal experiences with the strange and unexplained. Free snacks and refreshments are available for all who attend, coffee available at Storytellers Bookstore. Reading will be at approximately 2:30pm.

All other titles available at the event, including Tales of Texas Road, and Tales of Sandwich Town. Be one of the first to find out about the next upcoming book in the series, and submit your experiences to have your story told.

Windsor Star Raise-a-Reader program is asking the community to donate gently used and new books for the 7^th annual Raise-a-Reader Book Sale.

Books can be donated from March 8 to April 1 to Canadian Tire Stores in Windsor, Amherstburg, Essex and Leamington.

Fiction and non-fiction books are welcome. New and gently used children’s’ books are in great demand. Encyclopedias, magazines, textbooks, Reader’s Digest and National Geographic cannot be accepted.

Since 2010, the book sale has raised more than $112,000 for local literacy programs.

The Raise-a-Reader Book Sale is brought to you by Windsor Star and proudly supported by A Book of My Own, Devonshire Mall, Windsor-Essex Canadian Tire Stores and Koolini Italian Eatery.

The book sale takes place on April 9, 10 and 16 at Devonshire Mall. This is the first year Devonshire Mall will host the sale.

Windsor Star Raise-a-Reader campaign is part of the award-winning national fundraising initiative of the Postmedia Foundation. It is a unique philanthropic program that increases awareness and raises money and other resources in support of family literacy programs.

Since its inception in 2002, more than $729,000 has been raised in Windsor-Essex for local literacy initiatives by the program.

Windsor Star Raise-a-Reader program is proudly presented by St. Clair College and St. Clair College Alumni Association.
