New Residency Program Announces Three Artist in Residence in Downtown Windsor including Beriault, Varga, Horne-Gaul The Arts Council Windsor & Region (ACWR) has announced that three Ontario artists have been selected as part of the Neighbourhood Free Space – Self-Directed Residency Program: Alexandra Beriault (Toronto), Béla Varga (Windsor) and Laura Horne-Gaul (Kingsville) ACWR is partnering with one ten park, Hackforge, and Left Contemporary to host two residencies in downtown Windsor. “It is vital that we offer opportunities like residencies to artists who are from the region, as well as from other cities.” Says Jolie Inthavong, Board President at ACWR. “Tech is exploding and will continue to do so. In creating partnerships between the two types of spaces, we can highlight the cohesion between the different disciplines to show both professionals and the community at large that the arts can, literally, work in Windsor.” Sarah Morris, Managing Director of Hackforge “Hackforge is proud to be part of the ACWR’s Free Space Residency and excited to welcome artists into their space.
