Leadership Windsor/Essex Announces new initiative – 40 Leaders Under 40 Awards
Nominations are now open! These prestigious awards are presented to 40 leaders Under 40 years of age for outstanding contributions to the community, and Leadership Windsor/Essex is bringing them to our region.
The Leadership Windsor/Essex 40 Leaders under 40 Awards, will recognize 40 civic minded community leaders who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to Windsor and Essex County by selflessly undertaking goodwill activities and/or providing community service for the betterment of the WindsorEssex region. The recipients will be honoured at an awards ceremony on March 28, 2018.
Leadership Windsor/Essex is a program of United Way that began 16 years ago with the goal of building strong civic minded leaders. This year they will be hosting an event to celebrate these community leaders.
“40 under 40” has been a symbol of leadership, innovation and excellence for community involvement, in cities across Canada,” says Sherrilynn Colley-Vegh, Director of Leadership Windsor/Essex. “These awards and this event enhance and validate Windsor and Essex County’s current and future community leaders and inspire all to contribute.”

The deadline to nominate someone is Dec. 18, 2017 and the deadline for submission of a completed candidate application form is Jan. 5, 2018. One representative from the top forty candidates will be selected to compete in the All-Canadian 40 Under 40 Awards.
