Biz X Was There – The 4th Annual Jeep Jam Poker Run convoy – Jeeps Take Over Essex County For A.L.S.O.
The 4th Annual Jeep Jam Poker Run convoy turned a lot of heads in Essex County on June 11, 2017 as jeeps winded there way throughout the region on a poker run for charity.
The Windsor Jeep Club hosted over 147 Jeeps and 350 participants at On the Beach in Tecumseh to kick start the event.
“The goal was to raise $10, 000 for local brain injury support programs offered through Assisted Living of SW Ontario,” says Gord Causton, Vice President of the Windsor Jeep Club.”And we surpassed that goal to raise $14,783!
The large convoy of Jeeps departed from On the Beach, 354 Croft Drive in Tecumseh and then travelled a scenic 76 kilometres throughout Essex County. Stops along the way included Mr. Biggs in Belle River and Dockside on the Cove in Stoney Point. The Tillbilly Pumpkin Patch offered a taste of off-roading but it was completely optional for participants to get their Jeep dirty.
At each stop participants received a playing card. Prizes were awarded at the Biz X Awards Ceremony for the best hands and the absolute worst poker hand at the after party!
“The Jeep Jam has grown every year and we had our largest turn out yet this year” – Debbie Kay, Windsor Jeep Club President
100% of the funds raised will stay locally in our community and will be directed to Assisted Living Southwestern Ontario’s (A.L.S.O) Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) programs and services.
