Front Porch Parties

125 years ago, even the smallest of occasions found neighbours gathered on front porches, community centres and civic squares. In 2017, let’s party like it’s 1892 and remind ourselves how proud we are of our City. Windsor residents are invited to hold “Front Porch” birthday parties to celebrate the City’s 125th birthday. Families, neighbourhoods, businesses, schools and community groups are encouraged to gather in honour of the City’s anniversary. Take a photo of your group and post it with the hashtag #mywindsorparty or email it to us at [email protected]. Birthday Party signs will be available in The Windsor Star on May 18th, or on our website atwww.celebrating2017.ca.  All photos will be included in the time capsule at the end of the year.

 125 most memorable moments

Help us identify 125 of the City’s most memorable moments. Moments that made us laugh, cry and cheer and ultimately defined us a city.  Those wishing to take part can share their Memorable Moment in a Facebook Post using #mywindsormemory, by email at [email protected], or in person at the Birthday Party May 20th. Together with our partners at CTV Windsor and AM800 CKLW we will bring the most memorable moments to life. Deadline:  May 30, 2017
