Charity Chix Wild Fundraiser a “Safari Soiree” where proceeds were raised towards the Rotary Club of Essex’s mission trip to Ghana on October 26, 2017 at 804 Erie Street at Mezzo Ristorante & Lounge.

This dynamic group of woman started the non-profit organization in 2015 and have raised over $348,000 for local organizations based in Windsor and international projects.

Proceeds from this event will support Rotary’s upcoming mission to Ghana, Africa providing children a with clean water, sanitation and a new school

In addition to the gourmet food, the “Safari Soiree” featured a premium silent auction, and live musical entertainment. With proceeds donated to the Ghana trip, over 75 guests dressed in animal print attire to keep spirits high for the trip ahead.

“We like to select organizations that are less high profile and often are not on the public’s radar. We ensure 100% of the funds go to the charities we have chosen to support. In this day and age this is really quite a feat to be able to raise funds this way and we are proud of this accomplishment.” – Kim Spirou, President of Charity Chix

Spirou adds,“The Charity Chix stand out as an organization because we do not hire staff and keep any event related expense to a minimum. We don’t touch the funds directly the charity does.”

The evening brought tears to many who gathered as they watched “You Raise Me Up”, a video dedicated towards the Rotary’s mission. The Rotary Club of Essex plans to venture to Ghana, Africa and provide children a with clean water, sanitation and a new school.
