Run for Rocky Legacy Events About Town

At last year’s Finale Run for Rocky Event, the City of Windsor made a declaration to proclaim that moving forward  April 9th would be acknowledged as Run for Rocky Day.  The Campana Family have put together a number of initiatives to celebrate this day to ensure the Legacy of supporting Gay Straight Alliances in high schools and post-secondary schools continue in order to support youth as well has to help educate parents and educators on diversity issues.  This year’s Run for Rocky Day has taken on a life of its own with many affiliated events taking place for the day, the week and during the entire month of April.

The Run for Rocky prides itself that less than 5% of money raised goes to operation costs.  This means 95% of all money raised goes directly back into the Windsor Essex Community.

Funds raised through the Run for Rocky Legacy Project will ensure that the Legacy of supporting Gay Straight Alliances in the Windsor Essex Community will continue. “Run for Rocky funding is based solely on education. Our mandate is to ensure that Gay Straight Alliances start in the home but support continues in schools, workplaces. on sporting teams and in places of worship. “When as a community we grow together with these educational initiatives we will all benefit.”
