Canadian Artist Christian Vegh’s “Slight Return” With Detroit Band

Mark Kassa and his rockin’ band “Slight Return” have just released a new single in early May 2021 featuring Canadian artist Christian Vegh (from LaSalle, Ontario).

Kassa, a Detroit musician, who has recorded and produced with funk icon George Clinton (Parliament/Funkadelic), Billy Cox (Jimi Hendrix), Andy Vargas (Santana), and many others, co-wrote “Weekend Homewreck” (rock/alternative) with Vegh, who is known as a guitar virtuoso, vocalist, and a rising star in the music industry.

Vegh has recorded and produced with Warren Huart (Aerosmith), Jack Endino (Nirvana), and Matt Bissonette (Elton John) and Tony Franklin (The Firm).

Both artists have charted this past year on the DRT Global Charts, Kassa with “Vicious Tides” and “Warrior’s Soul” both songs charting #13. Award-winning artist Vegh charted #13 and #23 with “I Think I’m Gonna Die Young” and “90’s Movie”.

With the pandemic canceling tours for both, they have been focusing on creating content and collaborating on projects.

Kassa states he had “a great time working with Christian, he is an amazing musician and producer”. He has been mentoring the young artist through the business side of the music industry since Kassa was Vice President at Mi5 Detroit (Universal Music Group).

Both are thrilled to release the single in Canada which is 50% Canadian content.

Vegh (Berklee College of Music – Boston and Biz X magazine “Artist of the Year” in 2016) was the vocalist on the new single and Kassa (Musician’s Institute – Los Angeles) and Vegh split the rhythm and lead guitar parts on the track.

“It was an amazing experience to collaborate and record at 54 Sound, the studio Eminem got his start – all the Slight Return band members are amazing talents and I have learned so much from Kassa, what an amazing opportunity!” expresses Vegh.
