Fulger Transport Delivers Good Works to Local Philanthropy
President Radu Bogdanel Shares Business Success with Local Charities
A forward thinking, innovative young entrepreneur is not only quickly becoming an emerging leader in the short, to medium haul freight delivery business, he is also demonstrating foresight for the big picture by his supporting our community through charitable giving.
Radu Bogdanel is the President of Fulger Transport Inc. and built a registered and fully accredited trucking company specializing in perishable cargo and general freight. Mr. Bogdanel has goals for his company beyond a successful bottom line. He wants to help improve the quality of life in Windsor by donating resources that will help people reach their potential.
To achieve this goal, each month, Fulger employees will select a local charity and make generous donation. Employees and interested community members vote by using the company’s Facebook page to nominate a charity.
The employees selected the Downtown Mission as their February charity designation. The financial gift will be also be followed with a volunteer activity. In April, managers and employees will return to the Downtown Mission and help serve the mid-day meal.
“We like what the Downtown Mission does,” says Mr. Bogdanel, “in addition to providing food and shelter to hurting people, they also offer a helping hand up through their skill development programs and social enterprises. We feel very good about making this donation.”
The company’s charitable gift to the Downtown Mission is $3,000.
“We have a generous community to be sure, and its remains a generous community because the tradition of caring for others is entrenched and passed on to each new generation of Windsorites. We are very pleased that Radu and Fulger Transport are taking an active role in shaping the future of Windsor-Essex,” states Ron Dunn, executive Director.
