NAV NANWA ANNOUNCED AS NEW HOST OF CBC WINDSOR MORNING
CBC Windsor recently announced Nav Nanwa as the new host of CBC WINDSOR MORNING, its morning radio program broadcasting live on weekdays from 6:00 – 8:37 am.

“I’m a journalist with a passion for engaging and inspiring audiences, and I’m so honoured to be joining CBC Windsor where it’s my priority to create programming that reflects the diverse range of people and opinion in Windsor-Essex County,” Nanwa says. “I’m really curious. So I’m excited to get into the community to meet with people and get to understand what you want from CBC Windsor to help you make decisions in your daily lives.”
As a multi-platform journalist, Nanwa brings valuable experience to the role that will be integral to reaching and expanding audience and reinforcing the relationship with community. “Not only is Nav passionate about highlighting stories from young people and racialized communities, he brings a strong business background to the role and is keen to explore the economic drivers that will shape Windsor-Essex County’s future,” said Shawna Kelly, Managing Editor, CBC Windsor.
“We’re thrilled to have him join the CBC Windsor Morning team to build upon the rich legacy of Tony Doucette, and know listeners will welcome him into their homes and into their communities.”
Nanwa began his journalism career after working in brand marketing for ten years. He has been a radio host and producer with NewsTalk Sauga 960, and also hosted an hour long online radio show showcasing south Asian communities doing extraordinary things. He was a television host with Rogers for seven years, specializing in business reporting prior to joining CBC Toronto in 2020. Last year, he helped to launch the first CBC Brampton Backpack Bureau as a Reporter/Editor where he produced stories about the city – shining a light on their BIPOC population under 40.
Nanwa prides himself on his community activity. He works with not-for-profits on events to showcase emerging artists, and is often found on a stage as an emcee at festivals, concerts and political townhalls. In 2017, he received a Top 40 under 40 Award from the Brampton Chamber of Commerce for his personal and professional contributions to community.
With its long history in the automotive sector, Windsor is also welcoming one of the Top 10 finalists in Canada’s Next Top Ad Executive for an advertising campaign involving the Chevrolet Stingray.
