REGISTRATION OPEN FOR FIFTH ANNUAL WINDSOR CORPORATE CHALLENGE, SUPPORTING NEW RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE WINDSOR.

Registration is now open for the Fifth Annual Windsor Corporate Challenge, coming to Vollmer Complex on June 18th. The Windsor Corporate Challenge provides the business world with exciting activities/challenges that break through workplace barriers, engage employees with a spirit of Ronald McDonald Housetogetherness and team building while raising funds for a great cause.

This year’s event will support the new Ronald McDonald House Windsor, opening inside Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus this May.

“We are looking forward to a fantastic day of fun games, great prizes and most importantly team building,” says founder of the Windsor Corporate Challenge and President of The Job Shoppe Meighen Nehme. “We are thrilled to be hosting this event for its fifth year and it promises to be our biggest turn out yet. It is an honour to support such a wonderful cause with all net proceeds going towards the new Ronald McDonald House.”

Since its inception, Windsor Corporate Challenge has raised over $450,000 for local Windsor Charities, all through the unique activities that make up this adult play-day.  The challenges change each year to keep the event fresh, but are always geared to bringing corporate teams the boundless enthusiasm that children bring to recess every day.

“The joy that Windsor Corporate Challenge brings to its participants is what makes it a perfect fit for Ronald McDonald House. As we support the families of children with life threatening illnesses, we do everything we can to bring them comfort, a sense of normal, and moments of pure joy as the face their journey together”- Margaret Anderson, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald Charities Southwestern Ontario.

Ronald McDonald House Windsor will be Canada’s first Ronald McDonald House-within-a-Hospital and will provide support for sick kids and their families right in the Windsor-Essex community.  The House will have seven bedrooms, kitchen, dining, and lounge spaces – and will keep caregivers steps away from their hospitalized children.

Additionally, 26% of the families who have been, and will continue to be, helped at Ronald McDonald House London are from the Windsor-Essex area.

Anyone interested in forming a team of 8-12 to participate in the 2016 Windsor Corporate Challenge is encouraged to register soon.  Early bird registration at $300 ends March 31st; Registration after March 31st is $350.

“We are so excited to be a part of this incredible day of fun for a cause,” said Anderson. “Thank you Windsor Corporate Challenge for helping to give us such a wonderful welcome to the community!”
