The stresses of High School seem to be coming to an end, but there is still lots to worry about- obviously not school related. I’m talking about prom!

Dress, makeup, nails, hair, tickets, you name it, it’s on the prom list!

Prom is an event most high school seniors look forward to, the big party where everyone dresses up and has a great time, but is all that preparation really worth one night?

The perfect dress has to fit a theme and make you comfortable, no matter what position you’re in. Always go for something more laid back than millions of beads due to the uncomfortable pile of legos it will feel like you’re sitting upon.

Makeup and hair go along way at prom, a face professionally done by makeup artists themselves, making your evening makeup stand out and cause everyone to prepare you for the big lights! Up do’s and long curled hair, most girls go all out and try some new hairstyles to look their best.

Nails are always a given, hand holding causes your date to look at your nails, do they match your dress? Are they the perfect shade of maroon or does that one sparkly nail shout you’re ready to party?

A $70 ticket paying for your meal. Wait, are you bringing a date?

You better figure out soon because if they don’t go to your school you’ll need their school’s permission as well for them to attend. Does his tie match your dress? Does he look like your prince or knight in shining armour?

As the costs keeping adding up, prom seems to cost almost as much as your tuition for your first year of post secondary school! Is it all really necessary for one night of glory?

Expect the worse but hope for the best, pack some towelettes just in case you spill some pasta on your dress while your date makes you laugh as your drink spills all over the table.

Need a touch up? Bring your lipstick and powder to fix that glowing nose of yours. Make sure your phone has a password on it at all times in case of accidental mishaps where you lose your phone.

Enjoy your night, your last high school dance and a night to remember. Celebrate all those horrible times where you wished you could move on and didn’t want to show your beautiful face.
