The Pelee Island Tourism Committee and Mayor Rick Masse announce the launch of a new Pelee Island Tourism Facebook page.

This tourism based page will be a gathering place to provide information and expand the use of social media to promote Pelee Island tourism as a premier destination in the region.

Pelee Island’s Facebook page will be used to communicate the many wonderful island attributes, events and general tourism experiences.  The new Facebook page will serve as a place to connect those who love Pelee Island and visit each year while helping to expand and share the Pelee Island Experience with new visitors.

Visitors to www.facebook.com/visitpeleeisland can see the new tourism logo which pays homage to one of the islands historic sites, The Pelee Lighthouse.

Pelee Island is situated at the Canada/USA boundary between Sandusky, Ohio and Windsor/Essex County, Ontario.  Pelee is a serenely beautiful Island with miles of lovely beaches and natural areas that are uniquely beautiful.

The committee is anticipating regular participation in future tourism plans for Pelee Island with respect to how we can help the region of Essex County grow within the tourism sector.
