Tuesday June 14, 2016 marked the VIP Grand Opening of Walkerville Eatery, 911 Walker Road, Windsor.

Walkerville Eatery is a This hidden gem is nestled in Olde Walkerville and celebrates the vision of Hiram Walker himself through its throwback atmosphere and its furnishings and decor. Throughout the Eatery you will see photos of Walkerville, past and present and also you will find several original beams from the Hiram Walker Barrelhouse that supported thousands of barrels of Canadian Club Whisky from 1858 to 2010.

Art students from Walkerville High School have brought a “touch of today” by drawing on a large blackboard, mosaics of Windsor’s iconic Ambassador Bridge and their very own high school.

Owner Mark Hawken and his son, Josh Bourque (head chef) served up complimentary wine from Sanson Estate Winery and delicious hand crafted sliders and wood fired pizza’s straight from the Eatery’s wood burning oven. Hawken strongly believes in supporting our local mom & pop businesses and purchases the restaurants goods from Windsor and Essex County, then lastly if need be, within the province of Ontario. The meat is prepared by Sanson Estate, and Jeff’s Fresh Meats inside the City Market. The slider rolls are prepared by Blak’s Bakery and The Eatery’s pizza dough is brought in from Milena’s Bakery. Cheese is purchased at Galati Cheese Company and the produce used is purchased fresh daily by Josh simply walking across the street each morning to the City Market vendors.

Walkerville Eatery is fully licensed to serve alcohol and offers a variety of wines from Sanson Estate Winery, Coopers Hawk Winery, Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery and Pelee Island Winery. Local craft beer is also available from Walkerville Brewery, Frank Beer, Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company and Waterloo Brewery.

Stop in and try out The Flaming Eatery Bloody Caesar, served with pepperettes, pickles ,leafy greens and a slider. You will NOT be disappointed!
