Nominations are now open for the Best of Windsor Essex Awards

Winners, finalists, and nominees will gain fabulous value from added exposure and increased credibility. This is your opportunity to tell the world that you stand heads and shoulders above the crowd as the “Best”. Furthermore, the campaign created an authentic list that resonated with visitors and gave us the opportunity to highlight the best of what the region has to offer. Last year’s campaign engaged local residents and visitors to share their favorite attractions and drew a tremendous response during Phase II, with over 1,000 people nominating over 3,500 businesses. Those nominations were then pared down into the top five in each category and Phase II began with over 3,000 people voting on the top 5 in each category for their favorite spots in the region – where they like to eat, shop, dine and play. This is your chance to be featured among the best of the best. Last year over 3,000 people voted for their favourite places to eat, drink, dine, play, and shop in Windsor, Essex County & Pelee Island. Visitors love to patronize where the locals go and we need your help. Here’s your chance to tell us what you like. Help us put together the most comprehensive list of the ‘Best Of’ places to see & do.

Phase 1: The Nomination Period Now through Sunday February 5th at 11:59pm, you can fill out the survey below and nominate your favourite spots from the categories on the following pages. The survey should take about 5 minutes to complete. Phase 2: Voting Between Monday February 13th 9:00am and Sunday February 26th 11:59pm, you will be able to vote on the top nominees from each category. Only one vote will be valid per email address – so make sure your vote counts. On Wednesday March 29th 2017, a list of all the winners will be posted online and commemorative plaques will be distributed to all of our winners, as well as mentioned in the 2017/2018 edition of our official Visitor Guide hitting newsstands in April 2017.
