Amherstburg celebrates 150 residents with CANdo 150 Award of Distinction

150 residents will be awarded the CANdo 150 Award of Distinction medal during Canada Day 150 Celebrations on July 1, 2017 at Fort Malden National Historic Site.

The awards will honor and recognize residents in three categories; Service, Leadership and Legacy. Eligibility starts at 16 years and older. Nominations are now open and the form can be completed on line or dropped off at Amherstburg Town Hall at 271 Sandwich Street.

The nomination and judging process runs until June 9, 2017. Winners will be contacted by June 16, 2017.

“This is an opportunity to not only celebrate Canada’s birthday, but also the people who have contributed their time, talent or special gift in making Canada and specifically their community, a great place to live in!” adds Mayor Aldo Di Carlo.
