Charity Chix Raise $80,500 for Local Children’s Charities

This spring the Charity Chix organized and hosted a gala to celebrate the Windsor Police Service 150th Anniversary and today they had the chance to present the proceeds from this successful fundraiser. Over 700 people attended the gala and the event raised just over $80,000 for four local charities.

At today’s Windsor Police Service Board meeting the Charity Chix joined Chief Al Frederick in presenting cheques to the Children’s Safety Village, John Atkinson Memorial Scholarship Fund, Windsor Essex Regional Youth Council and the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be able to contribute to these worth while children’s charities. We have witnessed first-hand the tremendous impact that even modest investments, along with care and attention, can have upon the lives of children. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, advertisers and patrons of this gala we are able to enhance programming for children across our region.” – Kim Spirou, President, Charity Chix
