Did you know that we have bodies for a specific reason? Have you ever wondered why God created human beings and why our body takes care of itself? I have always found this quite fascinating.

At birth a human body is composed of 270 bones. By the time we reach adulthood the bones significantly decrease to 206 as they fuse together. Bones protect our vital organs. Have you ever wondered why?

Then there are the muscles that attach to the bones to create movement and hold the bones together. Pretty cool eh?

Now, I am not going to go deep into the science and physiology of the human body, but I want to let you know that we must never take it for granted. Our bodies are a gift to us and play an important role in our life.

Wherever we are and whatever we are doing we are using our bodies to the best of our ability. But, I like to think that our body has a greater meaning — it provides the tools we need to make our lives the greatest possible.

So now, I am going to use my imagination and be creative. So perhaps this is why we have . . .

Eyes — The eyes give us freedom to enjoy the beauty and nature of life. We get to see the people who love and share cherished moments with us. Our eyes keep us safe and alert. But, they also help us show compassion for others in need. A soft eye shows comfort, understanding and can help someone who is experiencing sadness. When you approach people always try to show warmth and welcome from your eyes.

Mouth — This not only allows you to feed your body with food and water, to live, but it also gives us a voice to express ourselves. It allows you to speak your truths, stand up for people and for yourself. Without our voice we will never be able to show our assertiveness. Our voice is not meant to be silenced, but heard.

Hands — Oh yes, this is one of my favourites. The hands are there to help others in need. To lift them up when they are down and to comfort them when they are hurting. There is a reason why they call them helping hands. Well, this is the reason. Hands also are the perfect way of hugging someone. But since you are someone too, sometimes you need to hug yourself for how strong you have been for so long.

Legs — Legs to me means actions. Taking actions in your life, chasing your dreams, accomplishing your goals and becoming your best self. Legs allow you to reach your destination. It allows us to keep our body moving and stay healthy (walking, running, biking). But, legs are also like progress, because when you are taking baby steps in your life, then those steps eventually become giant steps. Legs are the foundation that allow us to get up when life knocks you down. It allows you to continue standing tall.

Your mind — is a powerful tool. It can guide you or it can go against you. In our mind we have thousands of thoughts a day. These thoughts have the power to enable you to do great things in your life. However, it can also keep you stuck. So to sum it up, your thoughts can be your best friend or your worst enemy. It is important to let your thoughts work with you. Let them help you elevate yourself and help you move in the right direction. When your thoughts are in harmony with what your goal is, you will continue to move further ahead in your life. All the negativity will be trailing you. It will not keep up with your unquestionable drive, dedication and determination.

The heart (the greatest cardiac muscle.) — Without the heart, we do not exist; we have no awareness and have no chance to do anything in our life. Everything is numb. God has blessed us with this and our bones were created to protect this most important vital organ. It is to keep you safe and alive.

So this is why I stress that you must continue to fill your heart with healthy nutrients, whole grains, fruits, vegetables and healthy fats to keep you strong, healthy and efficient.

Our hearts can represent our kindness, love and giving nature. Let it continue to grow and sparkle from the inside of you and radiate over you on to the others hearts that need healing.

Never forget there are people who do not have limbs and yet they still do their best with what they have. Not only is this inspiring, but it teaches that there are NO EXCUSES in life. Many people are not blessed like you, but they still make their life just as happy and worthy. They train their minds like champions to see the silver lining in everything that may not be working in their favour.

So, make sure you treat your body like GOLD and use it for what you need to do to aspire for GREATNESS. Do not waste your great talents by sitting all day and watching movies, when there is so much you can do in a full day. Be productive and active. Then you are one day going to make a big difference in the world.

It is our body that makes us do the things we want. So never forget to say thank you to it. Be happy and comfortable with your body and continue to love and admire the way you see yourself in the mirror.

You as a whole have the power. You have no time to waste my friends. You must show yourself. Don’t let the fears keep you hidden from the world, when you were born to use your great talents to make a difference. It’s time to start to become who you were meant to be, because nobody else is going to do it for you. Only your strong mindset, your fighting heart and your strong body can do this.

God bless you.

Never give up. Keep moving forward. Believe in yourself. Be a legend

Sincerely Danny Gautama (The Fighter)
