TECUMSEH HOLIDAY HOURS AND SERVICES

COUNCIL MEETINGS

Tecumseh Council meets in regular session on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers of the Tecumseh Town Hall. Council will next meet on Tuesday, January 30, for the first time in 2018. For further information relating to Council and Committee Meetings, or to view meeting agendas, please visit the Town’s website.

TOWN HALL HOLIDAY HOURS
The regular office hours of the Tecumseh Town Hall are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. The office will be closed Monday, December 25, 2017, through to and including Monday, January 1, 2018.

TECUMSEH ARENA – HOLIDAY HOURS & PUBLIC SKATING
The arena will be open for regular hours, and closed on the following dates except for scheduled rentals:
Sunday December 24
Monday December 25
Tuesday December 26
Sunday December 31
Monday January 1

The 22nd Annual Hockey for Hospice Tournament will be at the Tecumseh Arena on December 27th to 29th for Boys & Girls Divisions: Tyke, Novice, Atom, PeeWee, and Bantam. Proceeds raised support The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County

RECYCLING AND GARBAGE COLLECTION
Garbage collection on December 28th has been moved to December 29th
Recycling collection in Area 1 on December 28th has been moved to December 29th
Recycling collection in Area 2 on December 29th has been moved to December 30th
Yard Waste pick up will end on Monday, December 4, 2017.

TECUMSEH TRANSIT SERVICE
The transit service will not be running on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. For the balance of the holidays, it will operate on its normal 6:00 am to 6:00 pm schedule. Information on the transit bus schedule and route map is available on the Town’s website.

Deborah Jones and her team at Biz X Magazine work so incredibly hard to produce each issue and their November / December Awards 2024 issue is fantastic! So happy to see that Erie Street Woodworks won in their Woodworking Wonders category. There were 196 nominees this year and I have no idea how Deborah and the team of judges were able to choose between all of the talented nominees.

Deborah and the Biz X team are not only a group of people who work together, they are the spirit of Windsor's community, business essence and bringing social awareness. As a new member of this beautiful city, it was through Biz X magazine that I learned who is who and where is where. I attended their 25th Anniversary Gala in 2022 and what a fantastic evening. Everything, from the sparkling decor, glam photos, entertainment, guest speakers and our own Windsor fire department fundraising for Sparky's Toy Drive, was a true celebration.
