Windsor Celebrates Snow Angel Success

The City of Windsor says even though the winter of 2016-17 may go down as one of the greenest in Windsor’s history, the City’s Snow Angels were still out and about when needed. Despite the low snow totals, 35 individuals signed up to volunteer for the program. Many of those volunteers agreed to take on multiple addresses, resulting in more than 97 residents receiving assistance!

All registered volunteers this year were entered into a draw to win a free iPad or one of two $50 Rec Express Cards. Congratulations to Neil McEachrane on winning the iPad.  Congratulations also go out to Wayne Pawluk and Sodiq Shofoluwe, the winners of the $50 Rec Express Cards.

Once again, we say thank you to all of our volunteers for their efforts.

You are Snow Angels!

And remember, volunteers are always welcome. If you’d like to join, you don’t have to wait for wintry weather to sign up. Learn more on our Snow Angels page at www.citywindsor.ca.
