The true spirit of the holiday season was warmly embraced and recognized during a cheque presentation by the Windsor Police Association to the Windsor Goodfellows Club on Wednesday December 14, 2016 at the Goodfellows’ headquarters, 401 Park Street, West.

According to Ed Parent, Windsor Police Association, Administrator, “The Windsor Police Association has enjoyed a long-standing partnership with the Windsor Goodfellow Club. Our retired Windsor Police Services’ members support our community, especially at this time of the year when the need is the greatest through the leadership of the Goodfellows. Our $2,500.00 donation was made possible through the sale of Nevada tickets courtesy of the Windsor Moose Lodge 1499.”

The Windsor Goodfellows Club, 1st Vice-President and Director of Public Relations, Gil Barichello confirmed that, “This most timely donation will support our Shoe and Boot program for children JK to grade 8.”

In recognition of the outstanding generosity of our community at this time of the year, Barichello adds, “Through the Oldnewsboys street corner newspaper “hawking” conducted November 24-26, 2016 and our direct mail appeal, our Club will meet our Christmas basket distribution and; continue to operate our year-long food bank program.”
