“Peter Hrastovec is an integral part of the Windsor-Essex community. At this year’s event, we are pleased to present the Lifetime Achievement Award to Peter for his business and community contribution to Windsor-Essex County,” said Matt Marchand, Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce President & CEO.
The Chamber Gala is also a celebration of the work of the Chamber and the excitement generated by our community with businesses working together to build a strong network. Join us as we celebrate the accomplishments of our outgoing Chair, Dr. Janice Forsyth, Foresight Management Consulting.
Janice is a facilitator, consultant, coach, entrepreneur and founder of Foresight Management Consulting. Janice obtained her undergraduate and Master’s degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor. She earned her PhD in Instructional Technology from the College of Education at Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan focusing on the theory and practice of design, development, utilization, management and evaluation of processes and resources for learning.
Her unique background, which includes workplace learning, instructional design, resource development, evaluation, strategic planning and leadership development, makes her ideally suited to work with leaders and organizations who need to motivate and mobilize their people to succeed in a constantly changing environment. A skilled and experienced facilitator, Janice has worked with a diverse range of public, not-for-profit and private sector organizations at the local, regional and national level.
In the community, Janice serves as Chair with the Windsor Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, is a member of the Windsor Rotary Club (1918) serving on the Community Service Grants Committee and the World Community Service Committee, a member of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra Chorus and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Windsor.
“Janice has shown tremendous leadership over the past year and we look forward to working with her in the capacity of Past Chair going forward,” said Marchand.
Further, the WERCC and WFCU Credit Union will designate this occasion as a special Chamber fundraising event with a portion of proceeds directed to the Great Canadian Flag Project to erect a beautiful and proud example of our Canadian flag at the entrance to Dieppe Gardens, a place where we honour Canadians, those who serve, served and especially our fallen.
