Junior Achievement of South Western Ontario has successfully wrapped up its third year of the After School Company Program in Windsor-Essex

This year, two companies comprising of over 20 high-school students successfully operated their own business ventures over an 18-week time period with the help and guidance of four local business advisors. This year’s business advisors included Phil Laurie (President, Your Future Now Inc.), Stacey Davidson (TD Bank), Dee Sweet, and Rochelle Bowles.

The two companies formed were Airoma, which made perfume-diffusing bracelets. The other was ReCoupero, who manufactured a Relax Wrap, which was a hand-made rice-filled therapy bag used to heat or cool injured areas of the body.

As both companies wrap up their successful program year, ReCoupero has made it part of their social responsibility to donate a portion of their profits to the Downtown Mission. Members of the team presented a cheque in the amount of $100 to the Downtown Mission of Windsor (664 Victoria Ave.) on May 1st. See photo above and for more information on JA visit online.
