First Annual “Poppy Art Campaign” For Remembrance Day 2020

While a significant amount of us have been touched by those soldiers who bravely fought and made monumental sacrifices by giving their lives for our freedom. The Art Incubator and Coulter’s Furniture wanted to do something to acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of those who served and continue to serve our country. Some of whom may have been grandparents, a close relative, or a dear friend.

On Saturday, November 7th from 11 am-4 pm at Coulter’s Furniture, over one hundred poppy paintings by local artists will be available for a donation of $50 each.

Coulter’s Furniture Sales Manager Tim Finlay had this idea some time back. What better way can we pay tribute to the lives that were lost for our freedom. This is an incredible way to express our gratitude and remind ourselves why Remembrance Day is observed. These works of art are a beautiful reminder of what we are thankful for.

The artworks are currently on display, with more being added, and will be up until the event on Saturday, November 7th. With this campaign being generously sponsored by Coulter’s Furniture, the entire proceeds will be donated to The Royal Canadian Legion Ambassador Branch 143.

Veterans from branch 143 and other Legions will be in attendance, showing their support for this event.

The team at The Art Incubator, Asaph Maurer and Kayla Reid feel “It is important for our community to come together during these hard times, to raise awareness for our veterans through our natural form of expression – art.”

The Art Incubator and Coulter’s Furniture would like to invite the public to join in and support our local veterans. Lest We Forget.
