NEW VIRTUAL EVENT THIS WEEK TO RAISE FUNDS FOR KIDNEY FOUNDATION

On Thursday, November 12 starting at 8:15pm, be prepared to be wowed by Art Race!

Award-winning artist Asaph Maurer has selected a team of ten artists who will gather together in a socially distanced manner, to battle against the clock during one hour of concentrated creativity to each paint one original piece of artwork. Each finished piece of art will then go up for auction, many paired with a gift certificate to a local restaurant.

The artists have all donated their time to make this event a success. Many are professional, well-known artists within the Windsor-Essex community, while others are emerging talent. This is your opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork at below market value, all while supporting The Kidney Foundation. The artwork will be on display for one week at the Downtown Windsor Business Accelerator (1501 Howard Ave., Windsor) if you want to take a look in person before you finalize your bid. All bidding takes place online and the auction closes on Thursday, November 19 at 12:00pm.

Please visit online for auction rules, featured artists, to tune in live on November 12, and to place your bids! You do not need to have a Facebook account to view the event or bid. All of the funds raised from Art Race benefit The Kidney Foundation, Windsor & District Chapter, helping to provide valuable programs and services to people living with kidney disease in Windsor & Essex County.

Deborah Jones and her team at Biz X Magazine work so incredibly hard to produce each issue and their November / December Awards 2024 issue is fantastic! So happy to see that Erie Street Woodworks won in their Woodworking Wonders category. There were 196 nominees this year and I have no idea how Deborah and the team of judges were able to choose between all of the talented nominees.

Deborah and the Biz X team are not only a group of people who work together, they are the spirit of Windsor's community, business essence and bringing social awareness. As a new member of this beautiful city, it was through Biz X magazine that I learned who is who and where is where. I attended their 25th Anniversary Gala in 2022 and what a fantastic evening. Everything, from the sparkling decor, glam photos, entertainment, guest speakers and our own Windsor fire department fundraising for Sparky's Toy Drive, was a true celebration.
