2023 Ouellette Car Cruise returns: An unforgettable spectacle of vintage glory and contemporary cool

The streets of Windsor are about to be painted with the vibrant colours and exhilarating roars of iconic vehicles!

The Ouellette Car Cruise is back and ready to dazzle spectators with its remarkable lineup of vintage classics, custom marvels, street rods, and the might of muscle cars. Mark your calendars for Friday, August 18th and be part of this thrilling automotive spectacle.

“The Ouellette Car Cruise is not just an event; it’s a celebration of automotive history, design, and passion. Seeing Ouellette Avenue and Riverside Drive come alive with these magnificent machines is nothing short of magical,”

DWBIA Chair Chris McLeod

This year’s edition – the eighth spectacular iteration – promises more thrills as cruisers set out from the Riverfront Festival Plaza, making a grand journey through the heart of Windsor, starting at 6 p.m. sharp. With the route encompassing iconic streets and turning points, spectators are in for an immersive experience.

Mid-South Land Developments, represented by Anthony and Dino Maggio, deserves a standing ovation, adds McLeod. Their generous contribution has magnified the event’s charm by offering the picturesque Riverfront Festival Plaza as the rendezvous point.

At the Riverfront Rendezvous, Festival Plaza will transition into an elegant showcase from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Here, revelers can take in the cars, the camaraderie, the atmosphere, and, of course, the sumptuous offerings from a host of food and beverage vendors as well as unique retail offerings.

For those wanting to be a part of this adrenaline-pumping event, participation can be secured by registration; all are entered for a chance to win incredible door prizes from the generous local business community.

McLeod adds that the event’s soaring success over the past eight years wouldn’t have been possible without the steadfast support of the show’s presenting sponsor, Steve Crawford of Crawford General Contracting. “The Ouellette Car Cruise embodies the spirit of Windsor’s rich automotive history,” says Crawford. “It’s an honour to support an event that brings together the community, introduces visitors to a myriad of vehicles, and celebrates our shared heritage.”

Cruisers are also encouraged to make a pit stop at Kipping Tire, 1997 Ouellette Avenue, for free Dari-Delite ice cream, and at Off the Hook Paralegal and Vanner Paralegal Services, 1368 Ouellette Avenue, for fresh lemonade by Bacchus Ristorante.

The Downtown Windsor BIA welcomes all to witness the magic of motors, community, and history intertwining on August 18th.
