2024 Black History Month With The Amherstburg Freedom Museum
Every February, people across Canada participate in 2024 Black History Month events and festivities that honour the legacy of Black people in Canada and their communities.
The 2024 theme for Black History is Black Excellence: A Heritage to Celebrate; A Future to Build.
In recognition of this special month, in the February issue of Biz X magazine we highlight a select group of Black entrepreneurs in our new SWOBEN Success Stories column on Page 10&11 and the XX Files on the next page. You can access the February issue HERE.
In addition on our website in the Event Profile page we list events you can attend as organized by the Amherstburg Freedom Museum, in partnership with The River Bookshop, that take place throughout February 2024. View their events here.
But that’s not all! In this episode of Arms in the Neighbourhood, Arms interviews Mary-Katherine Whelan, Curator/Administrator of the Amherstburg Freedom Museum. Dive into the past and soak up history!
