Introducing The Central Wellness Plaza

A new era of wellness and professional services is coming to Windsor as the Central Wellness Plaza, a Rosati Design-build project, prepares to open this spring. Located at 2385 Central Avenue (Central and Ypres), next to the Union Hall, this 16,000 square foot professional complex introduces a modern, high-quality space for businesses and healthcare providers, creating greater accessibility, innovation, and opportunities for the community. Designed to support the city’s growth and evolving healthcare needs, the Central Wellness Plaza is the ideal location for medical, professional, and retail businesses. With its modern architecture, spacious design, and prime accessibility, the plaza aims to attract top-tier businesses looking to serve Windsor’s diverse and expanding population. The development is designed to have modern professional aesthetics, with unique overhangs and recesses, different from the typical flat-roofed strip plaza.

The first business to open within the Central Wellness Plaza on April 7 is Central Dental, which is relocating to a 3,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility. Previously located at 3685 Tecumseh Road East inside Central Mall for the past 24 years, this move reflects the increasing demand for quality healthcare services in Windsor and underscores the commitment to bringing modern, accessible, and patient-focused care to the community. Rosati — along with Henry Schein (a solutions company for healthcare professionals powered by a network of people and technology) — collaborated on the new Central Dental office, owned by dentist Dr. Sam Bazzi.

“This new space is more than just a building — it’s a step forward in how Windsor residents can access high-quality medical and professional services in one convenient location,” comments Dr. Bazzi.

He is hoping to attract other professionals and medical practices to the development, such as a massage therapist, chiropractor, and optometrist.

With room for up to 10 tenants, depending on the size of the units, as the first phase of leasing begins, businesses looking to join Windsor’s newest professional hub are encouraged to explore opportunities at Central Wellness Plaza.

NEW IN BIZ

Opened in February 2025, Denver’s Homestead, Farm Store and Healing Ranch, is owned and operated by Meaghan McLean, a passionate farmer dedicated to bringing high-quality, farm-fresh food to her community.

McLean’s goal is simple: to offer local residents fresh meats, bread, and a variety of other locally grown and made products, all sourced from the same high standards she grew up with on her family farm. After overcoming personal challenges, McLean envisioned establishing more than just a place to shop for fresh food — it should also be a peaceful space where individuals could relax, connect with nature, and engage in meaningful activities.

“I wanted to create a spot where people could unwind and reconnect with themselves through hands-on activities like gardening, cooking, and crafting,” she shares. “It’s about nourishing the body and mind while providing a sense of peace and community. We want people to feel supported and connected, not just to the land, but to one another.”

In addition to its fresh meats, bread, and other goods, Denver’s Homestead plans to introduce a variety of workshops and activities designed to nourish both the body and spirit. From hands-on classes that promote self-sufficiency to social nights and physical activities, the ranch will provide a space for individuals to learn, grow, and build stronger community ties.

Denver’s Homestead and Healing Ranch, situated at 1039 Lakeshore Road 103 in Maidstone, is open Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information on delivery options, shopping online and merch available visit online.

“The Alumni of Distinction process is always a fascinating one, especially for our current students and prospective ones too,” comments Silvaggi. “It depicts, in the most dramatic way possible, the sort of exciting and limitless career path that can be achieved when setting off with a St. Clair diploma in-hand. In the stories of these illustrious recipients, our students and would-be students — and the community as a whole — see the realization of professional dreams in the highest levels of business, entrepreneurship, manufacturing, healthcare, social services and other fields, thanks to the education they received at our College. It’s always an honour to recognize our accomplished grads, and to have them share their inspirational stories.”

Belinda Bulhoes, President of the Alumni Association Board of Directors adds: “Honouring an Alumni of Distinction is not just about recognizing past achievements, but celebrating the impact they have on their community, their profession, and future generations. This year’s list of award winners exemplifies what is means to Rise Above the Ordinary (the college’s slogan). We are proud to honour these dedicated, passionate and successful individuals.”
