THE HOLIDAYS ARE HERE… CHILDREN, YOUTH & FAMILIES NEED YOUR SUPPORT

The Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation (WECAF) is appealing to the community to help support individuals in need this holiday season and beyond through their Annual Holiday Program.

At this time of year, nearly 700 families, 1,200 children and many youth aged 18 to 23 living on their own rely on the generosity of our community.

The Foundation is asking the community to consider a monetary donation to help reach its $75,000 fundraising goal. Toys, gift cards, non-perishable food, toiletries, and new household items will also continue to be collected over the coming weeks.

Youth and families served by the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society experience many challenges. Exceptional financial barriers continue to negatively impact their ability to meet their children’s basic needs. This makes it even more difficult to celebrate what should be a joyous time of year. The WECAF Holiday Program ensures that gifts for children and youth, necessities, and a holiday meal, are all part of enriching the lives of the children, youth, and families now and throughout the winter months.
