Advance Business Systems 34th Annual Thanksgiving Day Football Classic 2025
Advance Business Systems held its 34th annual Thanksgiving Football Classic on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at the esteemed Windsor Yacht Club with hundreds in attendance.
What began as a Customer Appreciation event has transformed into Southwestern Ontario’s premier networking occasion. The event was hosted by Advance Business Systems President Mike Burnett and included beverage tastings by Wolfhead Distillery and Walkerville Brewery, a cigar/scotch tent, raffle prizes, a squares game, door prizes, tailgating food items and of course, watching the Detroit Lions play the Green Bay Packers!
“The response this year has been nothing short of incredible; we’re once again at full capacity and we’re thrilled to spend another member day celebrating with our guests,” states Burnett who also thanks all sponsors, suppliers, the yacht club team and his staff at Advance Business Systems.
For over three decades, Advance Business Systems has consistently selected local children-focused charities as the beneficiary for the event, directing 100% of the proceeds to the selected cause. This year funds raised go to the United Way Windsor/Essex and Chatham Kent Ignite Academy which supports local kids in grades 2 to 7 in priority neighbourhoods.
Past beneficiaries include the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Sparky’s Toy Drive, Children’s First, Family Respite Services, the Children’s Aid Society Youth Advisory Committee, Farrow Riverside Miracle Park, John McGivney Children’s Centre, and many others.
To date, this impactful event has raised more than $500,000 for various community initiatives.
