Abraham Orthodontics Donates $50,000 to ESHF for new MRI

Abraham Orthodontics hosted 500 people across Windsor-Essex at Mastronardi Estate Winery to raise funds for Erie Shores Health Foundation to help bring MRI to Essex County.

The Jody Raffoul Band rocked the night and Dr. Maxwell and Christen Abraham were proud present a donation of over $50,000.00. The event was a collaborative effort under the foundations’ Year of A Thousand Parties, where businesses, such as Lester Group, Canadian Tire and Atlas Tube amongst many, donated raffle prizes, supported a 50/50 and pledged amounts that were doubled by Abraham Orthodontics.

Last year, they raised $15,000.00 in an initial effort with a Holiday Social. “This was such an amazing outpour of support for Erie Shores and bringing imaging that everyone outside of Windsor may need, as Erie Shores catchment includes all of the county and Wheatley of Chatham-Kent.

We are so grateful for our sponsors, the work of the leadership at the hospital and foundation in making this a reality to bring accessible diagnostic treatment close to home,” says Christen Abraham, community outreach coordinator and co-founder of Abraham Orthodontics. “We always seek ways to support families in our community beyond their smiles and are thrilled to be a small part of this effort.”

Dr. Maxwell Abraham is a regionally recognized orthodontist at Abraham Orthodontics, founded in 2016. Born and raised in Leamington, the service, affordability and commitment to community have led to various awards, including Windsor-Essex 40 Under 40, winner of Young Professional of the Year in Windsor (2021), Chatham (2024) and Small Business in Leamington (2024).

He is the treasurer and director of the Ontario Association of Orthodontists and director on the board at Erie Shores Healthcare and Erie Shores Health Foundation. He has donated over $2 million in free orthodontic exams through his Growing Smiles Program for patients across Windsor-Essex as well as initiatives in local schools and in healthcare.
