Singer Allyson Morris Upcoming Performances
The Windsor Essex region has been gifted with a Canadian jazz star, Allyson Morris who has a cool stage performance of fresh arrangements of classic jazz and pop hits.
She captivates her audience with a groove and sophisticated style.

Morris began her singing career at the Cultural Center in Chatham, Ontario. She left Chatham for school in the early 1990s and was hired by the Women’s College Hospital. This is where she met The Doctor’s Show and began performing with Life Beat.
Morris sang with this troupe for 13 years at the Harbourfront Theatre in Toronto.
In 2009, she launched her solo career and created a demo tape with Vezi Tayyeb from Kensington Sound Studios. Her first solo gig was a Whistlers Jazz Wednesdays where Morris built her roster of exceptional musicians including world renown Juno winner Robi Botos.
2011, saw the launch of her first album, I saw the Light.
Including performances by Reg Schwager guitar and Jorn Anderson drums. Morris began writing with Asher Ettinger and recorded songs for her second album Chill Me some Jazz released in 2021.
Morris then headed to Nashville and recorded with Producer Colin Linden also featured on guitar, Jerry Roe, drummer Keith Urban and Lady A , Viktor Krauss bass player from Lyle Lovett’s band and brother of Alison Krauss, and Jim Hoke on peddle steel Emmy Lou Harris band.
Today, Morris has returned to Chatham for a short while, you can find her singing with the Bob Seger Tribute Band Against the Wind performing currently throughout Southwestern Ontario and the United States. Her agent is currently working booking her for a European tour for late 2023.
Allyson Morris is set to play in the region at Jazzbah alongside Mark Wolfe, Byron Harnett, Dan Lankhof and Bob Wilson, 270 King Street West in Chatham from 2 to 5 p.m. on August 20 and September 17, 2023.
