Anne Waters and her Staff at Anne’s on the Avenue, voted 2016’s Best Women’s Clothing Store, will present a cheque to Street Help on March 21 at Anne’s on the Avenue.
One of the greatest epidemics that affects humanity, isn’t a disease or even a health issue: it’s homelessness. Each year, millions of people around the world face hardships that force them to become homeless, making it even harder for them to get back on their feet and living on their own. Because of the selflessness of amazing people around the world, many people affected by homelessness are given a chance to live in a new home, find a new job, and transition into living life normally again.
“For the past year, we have raised money via fashion shows, clothing draws, trunk shows, and so on. Any idea we can come up with to raise money for Street Help, we do it. Without the help of our phenomenal customers and some of the most talented suppliers in fashion: Frank Lyman, Elena Wang, Habitat, Michael Phillips – the list goes on and on, we wouldn’t have been able to raise a fraction of what we’ve accomplished; for that, we can’t thank them enough.” – Anne Waters, President and CEO of Anne’s on the Avenue.
Waters and the entire team of Anne’s on the Avenue will be donating a cheque of $4,000 to Street Help; a leading provider of services and solutions for the homeless. From offering three meals a day to providing hygienic needs and provisions needed for living, this amazing resource has helped so many Windsorites affected by homelessness to get back on their feet and start life anew.
Thanks to the donation from Anne’s on the Avenue, Street Help will be able to provide the assistance the homeless desperately need and deserve.
“We want to do whatever we can to help end homelessness in Windsor, and we believe this is a great start,” said Waters.
Anne’s on the Avenue is located at 1695 Manning Rd. at the East Pointe Trails Plaza in Tecumseh, Ont. and online.
