BIZ X ON LOCATION – OCTOBER 2024 OPENING OF THE NEWEST MOTOR CITY COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION BRANCH

In the air, on land, Biz X is everywhere! This time we fly over central Windsor for the opening ceremonies of a new branch for a community financial institution and take you inside as well to see their spiffy new look!

Congrats to the management and staff of the newest branch of the Motor City Community Credit Union which held their official ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

After weighing various options on whether to renovate their existing facility on Walker Road, the decision was made to build a brand new state of the art facility at 1365 Walker Road in the Market Square Plaza at the corner of Walker Rd and Ottawa Street.

Wincon Construction was selected to complete the project.

According to Edward Facca, Senior Vice President of Operations, the two year project culminated with the consolidation of multiple departments including accounting,  commercial lending centre , accounting department and the MCCCU call centre. CEO Rob Griffith was on hand for the ribbon cutting along with City of Windsor Councillor Jim Morrison and invited guests. The new facility offers a 24 hour drive through window along with a U.S. /Canadian ATM.
