To help celebrate the 200th birthday of its founder, Hiram Walker, the Canadian Club Brand Centre has announced a number of new tours being offered to the public and unveiled new tours and events website.

Launching on June 1st, there will be Cask Tastings starting at 6 p.m. every Friday. For $25 per person patrons will be able to sample tastings of scotch, whiskey, and bourbon in additionCanadian-Club-New-Tours to the unique Canadian Cub whiskies. Casks are those unique wooden barrels that many of the whiskies are aged in. No advance reservation is required for this Canadian Club Brand Centre tour.

Advance bookings will be required for Canadian Club Brand Centre’s new Scavenger Hunt, a fast-paced game of clues where guests seek answers to the clues in a number of rooms in the historic building. With a cops and robbers theme from prohibition days, attire from the 1920s is encouraged. Props will be supplied. So break out those feather boas for a fun filled adventure that includes a building tour, tasting, and cocktails. Individual admission is $30, and group outings are welcomed.

Also new for 2016 is MIXOLOGY where guests will be provided cocktail lessons that will include ‘a make your own’ competition. All ingredients and tools will be supplied.

A popular favorite of former years is being dusted off with the return of Tastings With Tish. Enjoy a session with Canadian Club Brand Centre’s General Manager, Tish Harcus, as she entertains and educates patrons with sample tastings of scotch, whiskey and bourbon, and of course, unique Canadian club whiskies.

Each year the Canadian Club Brand Centre hosts more than 100 wedding ceremonies, both outside and inside their beautiful building. For the first time since 1894, they will now offer their waterfront gardens for wedding receptions (for groups up to 75 persons). Couples will now be able to choose from an array of options to meet their wedding needs including tastings, ceremonies on site, photo sessions, in addition to catered garden receptions. In the event of inclement weather, outdoor receptions can be moved inside.

To kick off the expanded weddings services being offered, an open house will be held on Sunday, June 12 from 3 to 5 PM there will be a Canadian club tasting bar, hors d’oeuvres by Koolini Italian Eatery, decor by Soirée Event Extraordinaire, Modish Lounge Rentals, and South Shore Tent and Party Rentals. Music will be provided by Corbett Productions with Florals by I & F Design and gowns provided by the Bridal Gallery. There is no charge for engaged couples.
