City of Windsor Remembrance Day Hours

City of Windsor Remembrance Day Hours

City of Windsor offices will be closed on Monday, November 13 in observance of the Remembrance Day holiday. City Council’s meeting schedule will be unaffected, however the meeting of the Planning, Heritage and Economic Development Standing Committee that would regularly be held on Monday will be held on Tuesday, November 14 at 4:30 p.m. due to the holiday.

311 Call Centre

The 311 Call Centre will be closed on Monday, November 13, 2017. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, November 14 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

211 Windsor-Essex

The 211 Call Centre will be open 24 hours on Monday to serve residents throughout Windsor and Essex County.

Garbage and Recycling Collections

There are no changes to residential collection services on Monday, November 13, 2017.  All collections will follow regular schedules.  Please refer to your 2017 Waste Collection Calendar. Collection services will also remain on Monday, November 13, 2017 for night commercial, front end loader and weekly recycling collection. Public Drop-off & Household Chemical Waste Depots

The depots located at the northeast corner of Central Avenue and E.C. Row will be open on Monday, November 13, 2017. Regular hours are Monday thru Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The depot is available for the self-disposal of garbage, renovation material, furniture, recyclables, appliances, tires, shingles and yard waste. Some disposal fees may apply. Reminder: winter hours take effect on Monday, December 4, 2017. 

Parks and Recreation

Community and customer care centres, arenas and indoor pools will be open for regular programming and rentals on both Saturday, November 11 and Monday, November 13, 2017.

Adventure Bay Family Water Park

Adventure Bay Family Water Park Presented by WFCU Credit Union is closed on Mondays but will offer registered swimming lessons as scheduled. Cannon Cove is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Parking Enforcement

There will be no parking enforcement on Saturday, November 11, 2017, and municipal ticket payment offices will be closed as well, as per regular Saturday practice. Ticket payments may still be made online by visiting the E-Services tab at www.citywindsor.ca. Regular enforcement will be in effect on Monday, November 13, 2017.

Windsor Public Library

All locations of the Windsor Public Library will be closed on Saturday, November 11, 2017. Regular hours resume on Sunday, November 12, 2017.

Museum Windsor

Chimczuk Museum and François Baby House locations are normally closed on Monday and will remain closed on Monday, November 13, 2017.

Transit Windsor

City buses and the Tunnel Bus will operate on a regular Saturday schedule on November 11 and regular Weekday schedule on November 13, 2017. (Note: The Tunnel Bus is operating under restricted hours, nightly after 7:00 p.m. from Sunday night until 5:30 a.m. Friday morning). For more information, visit www.citywindsor.ca/transitwindsor

The Customer Service Office at 300 Chatham Street West is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. The sales office at 3700 North Service Road East is open regular hours from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.Monday thru Friday.
