City of Windsor Says it is Committed to Investments in Sewer Systems
With the recent strong storms and flooding that have impacted our area, the City of Windsor wishes to reassure residents of the Mayor and City Council’s continued commitment to investments in the City’s sewer systems.
During the eight-year period of 2009-2016, the City has made budgetary investments in the city’s sewer infrastructure of a record $273 million, which is in excess of two times the amount that was invested during the preceding eight-year period. The recently approved 2017 five year Capital Budget covering the period 2017-2021 earmarks a further $131 million in funding for sewer infrastructure investments.
The City of Windsor remains focused on continued and sustainable investment in the City’s sewer infrastructure with the continued assistance of senior level of government support.
