Ontario’s organ and tissue donation agency, Trillium Gift of Life Network, is proud to award Dennis Segatto of Windsor with an Advocates in Action Award. The award is a community-nominated distinction that recognizes the time and effort of volunteers who have made a significant contribution to organ and tissue donor registration in their community.

As a kidney recipient, Dennis is a strong and passionate advocate. He has been promoting organ and tissue donation in the Windsor area and beyond for the past 40 years.

He co-founded the Windsor Essex Gift of Life Association in 2013, and with a group of like-minded advocates, including his wife Niva, the group has accomplished incredible outreach in the community.

In fact, when reporting registration rates by communities began in 2011, Windsor’s registration rate was 15%. Today, it is 30%.
