Inspiration Flight & Tribute Over Essex County

Inspiration Flight & Tribute to Frontline, Essential Workers and to Commemorate the Life of Capt. Jenn Casey

The Canadian Historical Aircraft Association, in partnership with the Windsor Flying Club and Journey Air, will be performing an Inspiration Flight & Tribute flyover across Windsor Essex in honour of frontline and essential workers and to commemorate the life of Captain Jenn Casey of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds. The flyover will take place on Wednesday, May 20th 2020 starting at 6pm (rain date scheduled for Thursday, May 21st 2020 at 6pm).

Inspiration Flight & Tribute will honour frontline and essential workers, acknowledging their hard work, dedication and perseverance as well as Windsor Essex citizens who have had to make sacrifices to help protect one another. The flyover also commemorates the life of Captain Jenn Casey, a member of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds who lost her life during their recent Operation Inspiration cross-country tour. The flyover will be around Windsor Essex including as many hospitals and healthcare institutions as possible.

The Inspiration Flight & Tribute will start in Windsor (Windsor International Airport). The flight will be happening between 6pm – 7:30pm and will cover Amherstburg, Kingsville, Leamington,
Essex and Lakeshore. A dozen pilots have volunteered their time and various models of aircraft to fly “in trail” (a single file, similar to a car parade).

Organizers ask that citizens respect and follow physical distancing guidelines while observing the flyover.
