JA SWO is hosting its 5th Annual Online Auction Feb. 1 to 8, 2016!
JA SWO online auction can be checked out at www.JAauction.ca from February 1-8, 2016 to bid on great prizes including a trip to Huntsville Resort, Detroit Red Wings tickets, and a helicopter ride! Fantastic restaurant and store gift cards, activities certificates, and merchandise also available!
Bidding begins at 9am on February 1st, 2016 and ends promptly at 12pm on February 8th, 2016.
All proceeds from the Online Auction go to support JA programs in our local South Western Ontario communities of Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent, and Sarnia-Lambton. Our goal this year is to deliver 118 programs in SWO to local students. We are fully partnered with local school boards and deliver programs in public, private, and French schools.
JA programs are based on financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness. JA SWO currently delivers four in-class programs: Grade 5 Our Business World, Grade 7 Dollars with Sense, Grade 8 Economics for Success, and Grade 11 Be Entrepreneurial.
JA SWO also runs the After-School Company Program in Windsor, Chatham, and Sarnia. More than 80 energetic teens under the direction of local advisors have been building businesses since October. You can check out their work on the JA SWO Facebook page or at their booths on February 13th, 2016 at Tecumseh Mall from 9am-6pm, Downtown Chatham Centre from 10am-4:30pm, and Lambton Mall from 9:30am-5pm.
