Korda Continues Exciting 2025 Season with Agatha Christie Classic MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS

Korda Artistic Productions continues its exciting and eclectic 2025 Season with MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS – Ken Ludwig’s clever adaptation of the Agatha Christie classic.

The production boasts all the glamour, intrigue, and suspense of Dame Agatha’s celebrated novel, with a healthy dose of humour to quicken the pace. The production was selected as part of Korda’s first-ever public call for production proposals and is directed by Dean Valentino and produced by Korda Board Member Kimberley Babb.

Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year, but by the morning, it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed eight times, his door locked from the inside. Isolated and with a killer in their midst, the passengers rely on detective Hercule Poirot to identify the murderer – in case he or she decides to strike again!

MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS opens its 3-week Windsor run with performances on March 28, 29, 30, and April 3, 4, 5, 10, 11 and 12, 2025. Korda’s traditional Pay-What-You-Can performance will be on Thursday, April 3, and a Scent-Free performance is offered on April 10.

All performances are at The KordaZone Theatre at 2520 Seminole Street in Windsor. This show is generously supported by Windsor Improv Theatre (WIT), and Denise and Peter Hrastovec.

Korda’s production stars Brandon Chappus as Hercule Poirot; Dan MacDonald as Samuel Ratchett; Maggie Marchenkowsky as Countess Eléna Andrenyi; Grant Jonsson as Colonel Arbuthnot; Gregory L. Girty as Monsieur Bouc; Keats Conlon as Mary Debenham; Cindy Pastorius as Princess Dragomiroff; Jaz Morneauas Head Waiter; Sarah FitzGerald as Helen Hubbard; Julian David as Hector MacQueen; Clinton Andersonas Michel; and Kim Courtis as Greta Ohlsson.

“As a director, MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS offered me wonderful opportunity to take on a new genre,” said Director Dean Valentino. “I was intrigued by both the delightful style of storytelling and the deep ethical dilemma faced by Poirot at the end of the play. Working with Korda again has been a singular joy, and I know the cast and crew will carry you to the cold winter of central Europe in this charming production.”

This production is presented through special arrangement with Concord Theatricals, 250 West 57th Street, 6th Floor, New York, NY 10107-0102.

“Korda’s third decade of entertaining and thought-provoking theatre continues with a season that mixes the unknown with the familiar,” said Jeff Marontate, Korda’s Resident Director. “We examine the loss of identity and individuality in a selection of shows that balance laughter, music, and mystery. Whether they confront corruption or battle conformity, this season’s protagonists must rediscover the self in order to succeed or survive!”
