Windsor Startup Drinksout Brings Local Favourite Beverages Conveniently To Your Door
Local wineries, brewers, distillers and LCBO now at your fingertips
Drinksout is launching a new beverage delivery service in Windsor, LaSalle, and Tecumseh, just in time for the Victoria Day 2021 long weekend. The service keeps retail workers and customers safe from exposure to COVID-19 by limiting congestion in stores. The company delivers spirits, wines, beers, ciders, coolers, and other specialty alcohol products from the LCBO and local producers within Windsor-Essex.
“We realized that people needed an alternative to receive products during lockdowns, and the convenience provided through direct to door delivery is becoming more of an expectation for consumers. With those factors together, the opportunity for this business to continue thriving post COVID-19 is high, so we went all in on making it happen”
Vik Lall, co-founder of Drinksout
The company, founded by the Lall brothers, an engineer and a dentist, is aimed at bringing people together while keeping them apart. They wanted to give back to the community by providing a service geared towards supporting local beverage producers. Drinksout also reduces the number of people going into businesses, as we offer a dedicated shopper who will visit on your behalf and deliver your order when it is most convenient for you.
Drinksout has teamed up with many local beverage producers, allowing them to get their products into thirsty hands. “When the lockdown hit many local businesses had to switch to curbside pick-up only,” said Vik. The company’s platform allows users to book deliveries to fit into their schedule. Drinksout also offers after-hours delivery until 10pm, allowing local companies such as Wolfhead Distillery and Peele Island Winery to extend their sellable hours, giving customers access to their local favourites like never before.
The process to order can be done in just a few minutes and only takes a few clicks. Drinksout provides users with live updates from your personal shopper, allowing you to track your order right to your door.
Future plans for the business include engaging with many more local producers to offer even more bounty from the county. As well, Drinksout will offer custom gift packages that can be sent anywhere in the region, to help you celebrate your most memorable moments with family and friends, even from afar.
“Amazon’s growth has been due in large part to the efficiency of their delivery service. My brother and I wanted to deliver a new model that proves local businesses can be just as on-demand and convenient.”
Deliveries start Friday May 21st, just in-time for the long weekend. Windsor, LaSalle, and Tecumseh residents can place their pre-orders for the long weekend starting noon on Friday, May 21st at www.drinksout.ca.
Drinksout is offering an exclusive deal on Peele Island Winery’s new line of LOLA Blush Sparkling Rosé VQA, and their award-winning Lighthouse Riesling VQA – 3L, “perfect summer wines for weekend drinks and charcuterie” says Winery staff. The offer begins as a special launch promotion this long weekend and is running until the end of May.
