NEWSFLASH NV/DEC 2025 – ADANA LAW; ENERCARE SYLES; DEVELOPING YOUNG LEADERS OF TOMORROW

ON THE MOVE
Readers may recall that Adana Law was featured in Biz X magazine earlier this year in the March 2025 issue. In those few months a LOT has changed! They have grown quickly and have earned the respect of their clients and the community they serve. In October they opened the doors to a “brick and mortar” office situated at 71 King Street West, in Chatham. Until then, they had been working from their home office, as well as using virtual office space in both Chatham and Windsor. Working virtually was a challenge and the need for staff became obvious. The new space allows clients to meet in person with Barrister and Solicitor Adana Fraser and also allow legal students to volunteer and learn from her. Adana Law hired its first employee in August, followed by the hire of a Front Desk/Client Relations specialist. Fraser specializes in three critical areas: criminal defence, immigration and refugee law. She can assist residents in the Chatham Kent, Windsor Essex, Sarnia and London areas and remains committed to her mission to empower the community and delivery advocacy for all.

THE RUNDOWN
Two leading home and commercial service providers in Windsor Essex recently united under one name. Enercare is proud to announce the merger and rebranding of Syles Mechanical Services and Bryant
Heating & Cooling as Enercare Syles, effective September, 2025. General Manager of the newly merged operations, Sylvio Lesperance, is a proven leader in the region with extensive experience in both the
commercial and residential sectors. This strategic integration marks a major milestone, uniting two highly successful operations that have been part of the Enercare family since 2016 and 2022, respectively. Through this move, Enercare expects to strengthen its presence in the market while catalyzing opportunities for growth. “We’re excited to bring together two successful teams and start building a new legacy,” says Lesperance. “By merging our strengths, we’re able to deliver enhanced service and support to our customers while being part of expanding Enercare’s reach across Canada. As Enercare Syles continues to invest in strategic growth, our valued customers can expect to receive the same high-quality service from our qualified experts.” The companies are working from the existing Syles Mechanical office at 3255 Odessa Drive in Tecumseh.

NEW INTIATIVE FOR BLACK YOUTHS
Formerly known as Developing Young Leaders of Tomorrow (DYLOTT), the Organization for Economic Development and Diplomacy officially launched the Diplomatic Horizons Mock Embassy and Consulate on October 24, 2025, located at 3290 Jefferson Blvd, Unit 204 in Windsor. Founded by Candies Kotchapaw, this groundbreaking initiative stands as Canada’s first mock embassy and consulate, created to inspire youth leadership, foster international engagement, and advance economic development. “Our vision is to create a space where young people can explore diplomacy firsthand, gain global perspectives, and build the leadership skills needed to shape a more inclusive future,” shares Kotchapaw, who is also the Ambassador-designate for the Mock Embassy. Funded by the Government of Canada’s Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiative, the launch marked a significant milestone for Black-led innovation in education and diplomacy, setting the stage for a new generation of globally minded Canadian leaders.
